Espresso, Breakfast, Lunch & Bakery
Enjoy a truly handcrafted espresso drink prepared the old fashioned way! Our coffee beans come from two small batch roasters: Wonderstate Coffee in Viroqua and Sugar Leaf Roasterie in Milwaukee.
We serve breakfast and lunch all day Monday through Friday, including hot sandwiches, salads, wraps & more with vegetarian offerings. Our most popular breakfast item is our Farmer Breakfast Sandwich with a fresh cracked egg, Usinger's Bacon and Hook's 1-year Cheddar. For lunch try our Turkey Pesto Panini on Madison Sourdough. Our from-scratch bakery items are made fresh every day. Select from a daily rotation of muffins, scones, coffee cakes and specialty items every day! We bake 11 different cookies, including multiple gluten-free and vegan options. Our World-Famous Granola Bars are a must, along with our Almond Biscotti.

Specialty Bakery
Wednesdays: Gluten-Free Bakery Day & Jumbo Berry Puff Pastries
One day a week, gluten-free muffins, scones and specialty gf items take over the entire first level of our bakery case. Of course, we make all of our traditional goodies on Wednesdays, too, plus our jumbo puff pastries with from-scratch cream cheese filling and fresh berries.
Thursdays at 9 AM: Bear Claws & Chocolate Croissants
We fill our bakery case twice on Thursdays: once at 6 am with all of our from-scratch morning bakery, and again at 9 am with our famous specialty pastries: Chocolate Croissants, made from a French-style croissant dough and Almond Bear Claws, made from our Danish-style dough. Both are super popular, made from scratch & delicious!
Fridays at 9 AM: Firefly “Almost World Famous” Cinnamon Roll
Our from-scratch Brioche (butter in the dough) Cinnamon Rolls with cream cheese frosting are fresh out of the oven and available exactly at 9 AM on Fridays! Rolls often sell out quickly; arrive promptly at or before 9 AM for your best chance of scoring one of these dough babies! (If making a special visit please call ahead to confirm availability as these rolls take vacation breaks along with the owners.)
Who We Are
We are Oregon's Living Room. We offer a spacious, yet cozy feel with tables and soft furniture, and we treat customers like family.
Owners Jeanne & Uriah Carpenter are 28-year Oregon residents whose daily routine included stopping at the Firefly Coffeehouse for years before heading off to work. In 2017, they purchased the business and began specializing in sourcing local ingredients for from-scratch breakfast, lunch and bakery, all made in-house, every day. Together, they believe everyone deserves good coffee and good food.
